IPL match between the Delhi Capitals and the Punjab Kings has been shifted to Mumbai due to Covid

The match between the Delhi Capitals and the Punjab Kings, originally scheduled to take place in Pune, has been moved to a new location. The game will take place at the Brabourne Stadium.

Because of COVID-19, the Delhi squad will have additional testing on Wednesday morning to prepare for the upcoming match on Thursday.

After two players tested positive for Covid, the Delhi Capitals canceled their flight from Mumbai to Pune and placed the entire squad in quarantine.

The team announced that five Delhi Capitals players, including Mitchell Marsh, were proven to be infected with the Ebola virus. Chetan Kumar, team doctor Abhijit Salvi, physio Patrick Farhart, and member of the social media content team Akash Mane are all out with illnesses. It was decided to take this step to prevent any additional incidents arising from undiagnosed cases during long-distance bus travel in a closed environment during Match No. 32 between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings from MCA Stadium, Pune to Brabourne – CCI, which is scheduled for April 20, 2022, according to the BCCI. The Delhi Capitals’ ability to participate in the game will be determined on Wednesday morning by RTPCR tests. On Tuesday, a negative test result was obtained for every other team member and the support staff.

As a result of the MCA Stadium in Pune being replaced by Brabourne – CCI for the match scheduled for April 20, 2022, there would be no more instances involving long-distance bus travel in an enclosed setting “The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released a statement on Tuesday. According to information from the IPL, the five positive cases of COVID-19 reported by the Delhi Capitals forced the league to move the match to a different venue.

The individuals who tested positive for COVID have been placed in isolation and under medical supervision. “They will be tested on Days 6 and 7, and if both tests come back negative, they will be allowed to return to the Delhi Capitals’ bio-secured bubble. Since April 16, all Delhi Capitals players have been submitted to daily RT-PCR examinations. The results of the fourth set of RT-PCR tests were announced on April 19. Another round of RT-PCR testing for the Delhi Capitals contingent is scheduled for the morning of April 20, 2019.”

The people who tested positive for COVID have been placed in isolation and under medical supervision.” DC hoped for a speedy recovery for everyone involved.
