The life story of Chip Caray
On February 27, 1965, Harry Christopher Caray III made his debut into the world in St. Louis, Missouri, in the United States of America. As of this writing, he is 57 years of age.
His mother’s name was Lila Haberberger, and his father’s name was Skip Caray. His childhood was spent in St. Louis, but his father started a new life and profession in Atlanta. When he joined the Atlanta Braves and Chicago Hawks of the NBA, he became their dynamic narrator.
As he is more commonly known, Chip decided to become a sports broadcaster after hearing his father call a home run hit by Bob Watson off of Steve Howe in a game involving the Braves in 1983.
Chip Caray Career
After graduating from Parkway High School, Chip studied journalism at the University of Georgia.
Greensboro, NC and Panama City, FL TV stations hired him. Chip called Orlando Magic games from 1989 to 1996.
From 1993 through 1995, Chip played for the Seattle Mariners.
While he was a Mariners broadcaster, the Cardinals gave him a two-game tryout.
The inaugural MLB broadcast on Fox in 1996 is one of his career highlights.
In 1998, the Cubs hired him to remark alongside his granddad.
His grandfather, Harry Caray, died before he began working on the tear. He worked alongside Steve Stone for seven seasons at the incision. Both left the Cubs after 2004.
Chip Caray jumped at the chance to work with his father. He joined the Atlanta Braves broadcasting crew and signed with Clear Channel and TBS to work with his father.
Working with his father was a turning moment in his life, and they became closer. Chip covered Pac-10 and Big-12 for TBS College Football.
Chip was promoted as TBS’s MLB postseason play-by-play broadcaster after a 2007 reshuffle of Atlanta Braves hosts.
Chip has been criticised for making false remarks during postseason broadcasts. He defended his behaviour by saying this wasn’t his job when he joined the organisation and he could only modify and improve.
On December 21, 2009, he became a play-by-play announcer for Fox Sports South’s Braves and basketball games.
He has not divorced Susan Caray to this day.
Chip Caray and Susan Eyerly have been together since April 6, 1996. Together, they’ve raised a fantastic family of four children. Stefan, Tristan, and Christopher are boys; Summerlyn is a girl (Summerlyn). St. Augustine, Florida, is home.

Chip’s paternal grandfather practiced dentistry in St. Louis and was quite successful. He was also Chip’s surrogate father in many ways. Therefore, to appease his maternal grandparents, who had been married for more than 60 years, he intended to get a degree in medicine.
