Mirzapur Season 2 Cast

The gritty Indian crime-thriller series Mirzapur grounded its audiences for the very first time with an absolute definition of power play, revenge and colour-coded underworld. Premiered in October 2020 on Amazon Prime Video and the second installment took fans deeper into Mirzapur-unleashing all sorts of chaos leaving them always at the edge of their seats. The fascinating narrative of the show aside, it was really Season 2’s amazing cast that brought alive this yarn of crime and vengeance like nobody else could. There is an exceptional cast that dominated the second chapter of this gritty saga over here.

1. Akhandanand “Kaleen Bhaiya” Tripathi played by Pankaj Tripathi

Pankaj Tripathi was back as the dreaded Kaleen Bhaiya, ruler of Mirzapur who rules over Mirzapur with a stern hand. Kaleen Bhaiya, the guy with a stone cold expression who seems to mellow down at most times disguising an underlying sadist attribute that makes him one of the strongest characters in here. Tripathi, in many ways leads the charge here because while power is not just aggression (or rather his portrayal of FtC symbolises a nuanced form of power) it has to be cunning and manipulative. The understated expressions, dialogue delivery and the nuanced understanding of his character have definitely made Kaleen Bhaiya a classic in Indian web series.

2. Ali Fazal as Govind “Guddu” Pandit

Season 2 of Mirzapur was more about how Guddu Pandit has shed his skin as a woke young guy to come out ugly and vengeful gangster. With Season 1 concluding on a tragic note that saw him lose his brother Bablu and pregnant wife (Sweety) to Munna and Akhanda Tripathi, respectively, the thirst for revenge is what propels Guddu’s arc. Balanced yet Powerful: Amid the emotional turmoil of loss and struggle for power, Fazal offers a very compelling performance. While his Guddu was a force to reckon with in Season 2, physical transformation he underwent for the role only added authenticity and intensity to his character.

3. Trailer Link: Divyenndu Sharma as Phoolchand “Munna” Tripathi

Divyenndu Sharma as Munna Tripathi, the hot-headed son of Kaleen Bhaiya was stellar throughout Season 2. Munna, whose character is void of any values in his life and thus has a need to prove himself right by all means before everyone actually being interested only for some power. The brilliance of Sharma as Munna lies in how expertly he captures the raw emotions and vulnerability under his preeminent bouts on arrogance, fury. One of the best parts about this season is how Munna gets deeper and complex as a person, while he in his own struggle to prove himself for what it’s worth remains stuck fighting within him whether or not he deserves to get handed over with Bablu-Sweety-Phoolchand empire.

4. Gajgamini ‘golu’ Gupta — Shweta Tripathi Sharma

In Season 2, Shweta Tripathi Sharma turns her character Golu Gupta like never before. Golu (from a studious college girl in season 1) turns into an angry and determined woman who will stop at nothing to bring the Tripathi empire down after she lost her sister Sweety and Bablu, whom we later find also won over Golu’s heart. Shweta is riveting as she astutely captures Golu’s metamorphosis that balances ruthlessness, determination and inner conflict. One of the most solid arcs in the season is her journey from innocence to revenge.

5. Rasika Dugal as Beena Tripathi

Beena Tripathi, played by Rasika Dugal — Beena can be cited as the most complex character on Mirzapur 2. Darker shades in Beena’s character have come to light through Season 2 where she is planning revenge against her oppressive husband, Kaleen Bhaiya and father-in-law. Dugal nails Beena’s duplicitous streak while never losing sight of the character’s vulnerability, making her one of its most effective weapons. She brings a quiet strength, as being the only woman in Mirzapur at that time is no easy task and adds richness to her character.

6. Harshita Gaur as Dimpy Pandit

Harshita Gaur is also back as Dimpy Pandit, Guddu’s sister who gets suck into the middle of her family vendetta with Tripathis. As for Dimpy ( Anjali Patil) — Coming out of her shell, towards the end of Season 1 and a good portion of Season 2 she is perceived as one most vulnerable characters but by second half part in S02 that entire facade gets shattered. Episode after episode we see more and more involvement to fight against The Tripathis from this very character. Gaur brings a sense of urgency in showing Dimpy’s progression as an individual who goes from being voiceless to wanting justice for her family.

7. Vikrant Massey as Vinay “Bablu” Pandit (in flashbacks)

No, Bablu Pandit met a tragic end in season 1 but we will be seeing Vikrant Massey through multiple flashbacks and memories of him. His character leaves an indelible mark on Guddu and Golu’s narrative, who take Bablu’s death as a stark reminder of what lies at stake in the power struggle for Mirzapur. And the few scenes with Massey go a long way toward emphasizing just how much emotional baggage these characters carry through season one.

8. Amit Sial as Ramakant Pandit

Ramakant Pandit: The morally sound lawyer and father of Guddu & Bablu is brought to life by Amit Sial. Ramakant resumes his battle against the corrupt system of Mirzapur, despite the personal losses he has just endured in Season 2. Sial plays a heartbroken dad who begins to question his beliefs as he watches two of his sons slide into the world of selling drugs. The show adds emotional weight to his internal struggle, as between following the law or saving his brother.

9. Anjum Sharma as Sharad Shukla

Anjum Sharma as Sharad Shukla, the son of Rati Shankar Shukla (Gyan Prakash), whom Guddu killed in Season 1 But with his father’s legacy in mind, Sharad steps up to further establish the never-ending circle of crime that sustains power-balance.Mirzapur Sneak Peek: This clip from Season 2 promises bloodshed. Sharma is quietly strong in a role of suggestion rather than strength and Sharad emerges as servant leader — patient, but also willing to wait while being compliant. This only serves to further complicate the story and make it even more conflicting.

10. Sheeba Chaddha as Vasudha Pandit, Rudrak Mani’s wife

Vasudha Pandit, mother of Guddu, Bablu & Dimpy (Sheeba Chadda) A daughter of the Pandits, her character was not involved in carrying out violent conflicts but serves as their emotional core. Chaddha, as a mother mournful at the cost of one son and another turned beastly,is moving,a reminder that in Mirzapur’s meat-grinder universe, there exists sentiment too. A woman of few words and strong, silent integrity set against the world willingly serving itself into a whirlwind lends an emotional heft to series.

11. Madhuri Yadav Tripathi: Isha Talwar

Season 2, has new characters this time around and Isha Talwar played the role of Madhuri Yadav who is married to Munna Tripathi. Talwar plays Madhuri, the one person who is astutely aware of all that goes on in the political world dealing with power and his depiction brings a new dimension to Kiska Hua Hai Aaj? The articulate prostitute becomes the crucial part of Munna’s life that leads to his decisions and plays her own game in the political & criminal scenario.

12. Rajesh Tailang as Dadda Tyagi

Entering the scene in Season 2 is Rajesh Tailang, who plays Dad Tyrant of Tyagi Family —Dadda Tyagi. The show seems to have thrown a new wrench for the Tripathi family in Mirzapur named Dadda Tyagi, who as an influential and powerful face, changes power dynamics. It is Tailang’s seasoned performance which introduces an added layer of tension and intrigue in the web series, as one often finds themselves questioning his character’s intents and alliances.

13. Priyanshu Painyuli as Robin

In the dark and violent world of Mirzapur, Priyanshu Painyuli breathes life into a lighter quirky character in his role as Robin. Robin is a little mysterious as the fixer who believes in things that are black and white: about “getting work done” and stands there almost like wholesomeness within this circus of insanity. Painyuli is delightful as always, and Robin’s distinct personality immediately makes him one of the most memorable characters this season — a necessary instance of both levity and unpredictability in the narrative.
